Aria
Chapter 3
"This is the Knowledge District," Jessinia said, gesturing to the buildings around us. "The schools are located in those two large palaces over there."
I followed her gaze and saw two imposing buildings, separated by a large park. The buildings looked like they had once been grand palaces, but now they were partially ruined and overgrown with vines.
"They may look run-down now, but the schools have been refurbished enough to provide shelter and a sense of hope for the students," Jessinia explained.
As Jessinia and I walked through the Knowledge District, I couldn't help but be in awe of the towering structures that surrounded us. The sun was shining brightly, and the park was bustling with activity. Students of all ages were practicing magic spells, practicing swordplay, and studying in small groups. I was fascinated by all the different sights and sounds of the bustling park.
I followed Jessinia through the heart of Tirovna's educational and intellectual community. The air was filled with the sounds of vendors hawking their wares and scholars discussing their latest findings. As we approached a small food vendor, Jessinia gestured for me to take a seat at one of the nearby benches. She approached the vendor, haggling over the price of a few sweet cakes. I watched in amazement as she expertly bargained, using her wit and charm to secure the treats for a fraction of the original price.
Satisfied with her purchase, Jessinia returned to the bench, offering me one of the sweet cakes. I took a bite, savoring the flaky pastry and sweet filling. I was struck by Jessinia's resourcefulness, her ability to get what she wanted through sheer charm and cunning. As we sat in the park, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the Knowledge District, I couldn't help but feel grateful to have her as a friend. As we sat down on a bench to eat, a large white dog approached us. Jessinia's face lit up as she greeted the dog, who seemed to be just as excited to see her.
As we ate, I couldn't help but notice the way the dog and Jessinia communicated. It was almost as if they were having a conversation without words. The dog would bark or tilt its head in a certain way, and Jessinia would respond with a nod or a smile. I found it all quite fascinating.
After we finished eating, Jessinia suggested that we take a walk through the park. The dog, who I learned was named Raggs, followed along with us as we strolled through the beautiful gardens. The sun was shining down, and the flowers were in full bloom, creating a fragrant and peaceful atmosphere.
We came across a group of students who were practicing a spell that caused flowers to bloom. The spell was beautiful, and I couldn't help but be in awe of the magic that was being performed. Jessinia explained that magic was a powerful tool, and that those who practiced it had a great responsibility to use it wisely.
As we continued our walk, I noticed that the dog was leading us towards a small, quiet area of the park. The area was surrounded by tall trees and there was a small pond in the center. Jessinia and I sat down on a bench and just enjoyed the peaceful surroundings.
Suddenly, Raggs barked and ran off towards a group of students who were practicing swordplay. Jessinia and I followed after him, and we watched as the students demonstrated their skills. They were all so talented, and I was impressed by the level of skill they had achieved.
After a while, Jessinia suggested that we head back to the main part of the park. As we walked, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the peaceful and inspiring atmosphere of the Knowledge District. I was excited to learn more about this new world, and I couldn't wait to see what other wonders awaited me.
As we continued to walk through the Knowledge District, Jessinia suddenly stopped and bent down to talk to Raggs. I couldn't help but feel surprised as she spoke to the dog as if he were a person.
"Raggs, my friend, Aria here needs a place to stay," she said. "Do you know of any hidden spots around here that haven't been claimed by settlers yet?"
Raggs barked excitedly and wagged his tail, then led us down a narrow alley. I was hesitant at first, but Jessinia assured me that Rags knew what he was doing. We followed him through the twisting alleyways until we came to a staircase that was hidden behind a tall stack of crates.
"Here we are," Jessinia said, leading the way up the stairs.
As I followed her, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. The staircase led us to a beautiful living area that looked as if it had been untouched for hundreds of years. The walls were adorned with intricate mosaics, and the high ceilings were supported by massive pillars. Sunlight streamed in through the tall windows, illuminating the room with a warm glow.
"This is perfect," Jessinia said, looking around with a smile. "I don't think anyone has claimed this place yet. You can stay here, Aria."
I was completely taken aback by the beauty of the place. I couldn't believe that I was going to be living in such a stunning place. I walked over to one of the windows and looked out, taking in the view of the sprawling city below.
"Thank you, Jessinia," I said, turning back to her with a smile. "I can't believe I'm going to be living here."
Jessinia smiled back at me. "Just make yourself at home, Aria. And if you need anything, just let me know."
I nodded, feeling a sense of gratitude towards Jessinia and Raggs. They had both been so kind to me, and I was grateful to have them in my life. As I looked around the room, taking in all of its beauty, I couldn't help but feel a sense of hope for my future in Tirovna.
