Temple
(The Cathedral)
the clerics. I believe there could be three different factors in the Temple - First, those priests who are reviving the old Tirovnan gods for worship, second instructors for students of clerical skills, notably healing, third a faction of the clerics who are more political, wanting to attain both worshippers and also greater influence of the church in tirovna and the surrounding environs.
Elara - goddess of the moon, magic, and wisdom
Aerin - god of the sky, thunder, and strength
Lirien - goddess of the forest, nature, and animals
Faren - god of fire, passion, and creativity
Nalani - goddess of the ocean, water, and emotion
Zarek - god of the earth, stability, and abundance
Valtor - god of the underworld, death, and rebirth
Tarin - god of time, fate, and prophecy
let's keep the overall number of clerical students fairly close to the number of magic students - 60 or 70. Let's create the clerical staff. we would need clerics who teach, clerics who preach and run rituals and ceremonies surrounding the ancient gods for new worshippers in the temple, clerics who are specifically adventurers, clerics who are historians, clerics who are political as mentioned earlier, clerics who are experts in each of the gods we have described in the permanent data, and possibly others. Maybe several, or even most clerics, might play several of these roles. I want to create a list of these clerics, much like we created the magic users school staff. Please respond and summarize what I've asked here before producing the entire list
Sister Mary is an important character because she represents the intersection between the old religion, which is polytheistic and focused on worshipping gods, and the new religion, which is non-theistic,and emphasizes meditation and personal enlightenment. Sister Mary is a member of the old religion, but her emphasis on pacifism, healing, and teaching make her a valuable member of the new religion as well. This creates an interesting dynamic between the two religions, as Sister Mary is able to bridge the gap between the two belief systems and potentially serve as a mediator between them. The new religion is non-theistic, meaning it does not involve the worship of gods, and instead focuses on personal spiritual growth and enlightenment through meditation and other practices. It is a relatively recent development in Tirovna, and its popularity has grown as people have become disillusioned with the old religion and its gods.
